5:40 p.m. CVEC spokesman Greg Kelly comments on the 2,100 outages at Lake Monticello:  The Cunningham substation, that serves a significant portion of Lake Monticello has four broken poles resulting in a large single outage.  Repairs are underway and crews made progress this afternoon but their is no assurance that work will be complete today.  Until work is complete more than 2,100 members will be out of service.

5:39 p.m. Thousands in our area are still without power and temperatures are expected to drop as low as eight degrees tonight.
